Funny Shit to Watch When You're Baked: Bridezillas

I am confident when I say that any stoner... male or female... old or young.. would thoroughly be amused by this show. If you like to laugh, and watch mindless television, then this show is for you. The things that these sometimes satanic women say will blow your mind. Some of them get so ridiculously off the wall-losing their marbles- self rightous nutso. There is one woman in particular that most resembled a train wreck, I could not look away. This woman reffered to herself as the Queen in 3rd person frequently and did some unthinkably loony toons things. This show airs on the WE channel. I HIGHly recommend watching this next time you're cuddling up in bed with a bowl of greens in hand. I am actually about to do so right now :)

Munchie of the Week: Orange Soda

Orange soda was my kottonmouth quencher of choice over the weekend of the slightly stoopid and pepper concert. In fact, the first stop we made on the way to tempe was mcdonalds. Now we blazed a shit ton before we got on the road of course... for some reason the only thing I wanted to drink was orange soda, which is out of character for me, it's never my first choice. So anyways it turned out that mcdonalds didn't even have any orange soda and I was beyond dissapointed. Not being able to have your stoned craving always sucks. Later that day I got some though and it was soo yummy and quenching! The taste made my mouth water and explode with flavor. I don't know it was just awesome so I am recommending this to you cats.

Herb Star: Lamb's Breath

If you want to get really stoopid, this is the way to go. Lamb's Breath is compared with purple haze. This is 100% sativa high. This past weekend was the weekend of Lamb's Breath. Yesterday, 9/19/09 was the Slightly Stoopid and Pepper concert I had been looking forward to for months! Of course me and mamakat were going to be pre-gaming with the good stuff! This bud made the trip I have to say. We were stoooopidly high this weekend. I mean what I say... we were fuckin' stoopid. It was a lot of fun, and got us going on some ridiculous conversations. We even invented a game. It is called "Bleepity". In this game, the goal is to make as many sound effects for the things that your stony friend is doing. For example, lets say your friend asks where the drinks are... you should respond, " You mean the glugggluggs??". This sounds so lame but hell we laughed really hard. Give us some feedback actually on the game by trying it out sometime :)

Munchie of the Week: Fritolay honey bbq twists

Thanks to Snoop Dogg, I was turned onto these munchies. In an interview with him, they asked what his favorite munchie was. Now, obviously he probably has more like 10s of favorites, but his answer was Frito lays honey bbq twists. He was not wrong for loving these as a munchie. They are packed with honey bbq flavor, and the fun twist shape is another plus.

What Im Listening to: Pepper

Pepper, a dynamic trio, made up of singer/guitarist Kaleo Wassman ,bassist/singer Bret Bollinger and drummer Yesod Williams. The guys are true Kona Boys in every sense of the word. This is apparent through their pungent Rock, Reggae, island beats that permeates the souls with such songs as" Love Affair", "Use me", "Give'n It", and the island sounds of "Give it Up", not to mention countless others you will have to check out for yourself!
In 1999, after gathering a local following on the Big Island, Pepper gained the interest of an independent, L.A.-based record company, Volcom Entertainment. Volcom produced and distributed the band's first release " Giv'en It". After extensive touring, Pepper took to the studio with Steve Kravac (Less Than Jake, MXPX) to record their second album entitled "Kona Town", released in March 2002. There have been other releases since that just keep on bringin that stoney, reggae, punk sweetness with the tight ass lyrics to back it up, such asIn with the Old, No Shame, and Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations .
Get yo ass out to the Fall Frenzy, in Tempe Az, this Sept. 19th to see Pepper perform with other bands including Slightly Stoopid. Go to http://www.arizonafallfrenzy.com/to get your tickets!

Hello kats! I am amazed...

Helloo I am finally back! I just toked for the first time in a month and it feels greaaat. Why did I go an entire month you ask? Heres the answer: 1) I haven't been to mamakat's house in a while which is the only place I can smoke freely and 2) Because smoking at home only ruins my buzz typically since I have to worry about leaving the smell behind. The other day I was shopping at moon and came across a wonderful product. Smoke Odor Exterminator spray(scented in limited edition Watermelon Slices)! It also comes in candle form! So anyways, I decided to give it a try because I have been just dying to smoke and blog again for you guys :). Tonight I sprayed my room before and after smoking and I am so impressed! Also thrilled since this means I can smoke in my room without needing to worry! I HIGHly suggest investing in this product. http://www.ryocigarette.com/noname2.html

Here is a link to a website you can purchase it from, or check out some of your local smoke shops.

Munchie of the Week: Vero Amore!

Due to my wisdom teeth removal I can't smoke until I'm healed up. This is why I have been slow with the munchies of the weeks. So in the meantime, I am needing to find foods that are easy to eat with minimal chewing. My dad picked up pizza from this place called Vero Amore. I had a margherita pizza and wow it was the best pizza evverrrr!! I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the light pizza topped with delicious sauce  and homemade mozzarella. My dad is even out doing errands and i asked him to pick me up some more pizza today! I cant wait until he gets home with the tasty morsel. They cook their pizzas in an old fashioned fire kiln. I am pretty sure that Vero Amore is a local place so if you live in Tucson, AZ go get some of this pizza! If you aren't in Tucson, then hit up a place that makes pizzas in the kilns in your area. This was bomb i can't tell you enough. Definitely a must have munchie! YUMMMYYYY

Help For A Fallen Marijuana Activist

Recently, thru the amazing powers of Twitter, I was blessed and saddened to come across someone desperately fighting to solve the mystery behind Ken Gorman's death. From what I am learning, Ken's passion for legalization and decrimalization of Medical Marijuana spans far and wide across, not only the Cannabis Community, but people who believe in individual rights.
Please, take the time to read the following post which is the cover page to one of the websites dedicated to solving Ken's murder. Then, go to the sight and learn more. If you or anyone you know has any information that may lead to the killer being put to justice, PLEASE come forward.
We all would want someone to do this for us or our loved ones. Its obsurd to think, that by smoking an herb that relieves ailments and makes you feel good, you can be killed, by fighting for the right to self medication thru natural methods, you can be killed. Lets not let Ken be forgotten, he isnt the first, and he wont be the last to give the ultimate price for TRUE FREEDOM.

Homicide of Denver Medical Marijuana Activist Remains Unsolved
Denver, Colorado (press release) February 16, 2008 - Almost a year has passed since the night in February when someone shot and killed Medical Marijuana activist Ken Gorman in his west Denver home. Family and friends continue to await word from the Denver Police Department that they are making progress in identifying his murderer. The case remains unsolved.
Gorman was something of a paradox in his community. Described as an “outspoken advocate for legalizing marijuana,” he attracted a great deal of attention from people on both sides of the issue. His activities made him something of a local celebrity. In fact, only days before he was murdered, a local television station CBS4 Denver aired a piece on Gorman and his medical marijauna operations. Many people who support the legalization of marijuana identify Gorman as a caring and compassionate individual who supported their cause. At the time of his death, Gorman served as the primary caregiver for several patients whose physicians recommend the use of medical marijuana to alleviate certain debilitating medical conditions. In that role, he grew marijuana plants in his home.
Gorman had been robbed several times in the months before he died. Apparently, he feared more trouble because he purchased a gun to protect himself. It was not enough to keep him safe. On the night of February 17, 2007, he was found murdered in his home.
At the time, police did not say if the killing was related to drugs or money, although Denver police spokeswoman Virginia Qui Nones reported that the killer did not take any of Gorman’s marijuana plants. To date, police have not made an arrest and they have no suspects in the case. In 2000, Colorado voters approved a constitutional amendment that allows patients suffering from certain diseases to treat their illness with marijuana if their physician recommends it.Some Colorado law enforcement officials, however, are skeptical about the use of medical marijuana.State Attorney General John Suthers has expressed concern that people will take advantage of the medical marijuana law to acquire or distribute the drug although they do not actually need it to treat an illness.
Gorman’s story and the state’s medical marijuana program have attracted widespread attention including a recent article in March 2008 Playboy magazine.

Words of Weedsdom:I Need a Pocket Tim Gunn

Alright so hear me out. I need a pocket Tim Gunn. Mamakat and I were smoking as usual and attempting to watch the season premier of Project runway. I say attempt because when we are high, we cannot focus on even a single thought for too long let alone sitting still through an hour long television program silent. Mid conversation, the idea popped into my mind that I needed a pocket sized version of Tim. I have been a fan of his for a while now, and I adore ever aspect of his personality. For those of you who don't know who the incredibly fabulous Tim Gunn is I will explain. Tim Gunn is a fashion guru that works with the designers of Project Runway on the sideline to coach them through their design each week. He waltzes around the room using a vocabulary straight out of a dictionary either to praise the designers and tell them how fabulous they are, or he will tell you to "Make it Work!" with his famous worried facial expression. Let me just go on to the several reasons why he would be the best pokemon ever.
1) He could be my personal pocket dictionary. Useful for job interviews, impressing people, etc.
2)He can tell me how FABULOUS I look (one of his most commonly used words). Plus it would be nice to hear on a daily basis.
3) He can be my little pocket motivator. (If you have seen the show you know what I mean). He says such encouraging and delightful things to those in a an emotional state like the little sunshiney man that he is.
4) He can give me fashion advice. I could just bring out my pocket sized Tim Gunn at any moment and ask "How do I look?" and I know he would give me the confidence and advice I need to leave the house knowing that Tim gunn told ME that I am looking like a model out of Vogue Magzine
5) He could make me clothes like a little keebler elf of fashion (only if he so pleased since this is in no way to reflect slavery).
6) He would also be my back up buddy. With his way with words I know that if anyone dared to get snippy with me, pocket Tim Gunn could whipser in my ear and tell me exactly what to say to put bitches in place.

Herb Star: Snow Cap

I know I said Tangerine Kush was the best high I have had in a while.. but that was until I met Snow Cap. I am not even remotely exaggerating this bud's greatness. First of all, the taste is a sweet surprise. me and mamakat took our first hit off my pipe bambam, and the first thing that came out of both of our mouths was "mmmm... OMG mmmm!!". It tastes a little bit like sugar! Now for the high... it was freaking unbelieveable. I mean at my highest of the day on this weed, i was blisfully unaware of...well... everything. It will deffinately make you slower, So if you dont like the feeling then this isn't for you. However if you DO enjoy the stupidity then this is a keeper. I myself enjoy it occasionally. Me and mamakat were also laughing up a storm and cracking jokes like a pro. Literally we were some pro jokers... at least we were thoroughly impressed with ourselves. So I guess you can say it also, like clearasil acne cream, may cause confidence.

Jams: Psapp

Psapp is one of my favorite groups of all time. Made up of the members Carim Clasmann and Galia Durant. These two are a London born, cat loving (I mean domesticated house cats), musical twosome. Their sound creates what is considered experimental electronica. When I think of electronica I would think of wierd techno music they play in the clubs. They are far from this but in fact the sound of Psapp is the most melodic lullaby-like music I've ever heard. They experiment with toy guitars, flutes, and even a chicken named Brunhilda. With songs such as "Eating Spiders", "This Way", and " Needle and Thread", as my favorites from their album The Only Thing I Ever Wanted. Galia's voice sounds to me like honey melting in a cup of tea. She is wonderful and I absolutely HIGHLY recommend them.

WTF news: Accused Murderer on Megan Want a Millionaire?!?*WARNING- may be a buzz kill*

I apologize to be both be getting off topic and possibly being a buzz kil, but I was just informed by my mother that one of the contestants on Megan Wants a Millionaire is currently under investigation for mudering his wife? According to nowpublic.com, Ryan Jenkins, 32, married a playmate by the name of Jasmine Fiore ,28, after a very short relationship previous to the taping of MWM. Jasmine's body was found stuffed in a suitcase and thrown in a garbage bin over this past weekend. nowpublic.com also states that Ryan Jenkins has been convicted of assaulting women before (back in 2007). According to VH1, Ryan was supposed to start taping I Love Money 3, which reveals that he was a key player in MWM, possibly making it to the finals. something smells fishy here... No wonder why Ryan offered Megan to not sign a prenup if they wed... he planned on stuffing her in a suitcase anyways.. (supposedly a murderer...and perhaps of course).

What I'm Listening To: REBELUTION

Rebelution, a band voted 2007 Itunes Reggae Album of the Year, has definitely breached the color barrier in the reggae realm. With there hard hitting rasta bass line, gentle yet slicing guitar riffs, and the accompaniment of Eric Rachmany's voice, they get their message out in a way that soothes the soul and inspire the mind. The band hailing from Santa Barbara originally formed in 2004. By relentlessly touring and playing local shows, they quickly found themselves in the forefront of the Cali- Reggae music scene. I was recently blessed to be turned on to them and have quickly deemed myself a loyal fan. The bands debut album released in 2007,"Courage to Grow", solidified Rebelution's spot on the Reggae playing field. August 4, 2009, the long-awaited follow up" Bright Side of Life" is definately no disappointment. I suggest you go out and get it, Itune, it however you can get it...... GET IT!

I Want to Smoke With: Bill Maher

This politically aware-left-wing flying-funny guy -tv show host would be a blast to chill out and smoke a bowl with. Can you imagine the intense conversations that would take place? By intense of course I do not mean buzz killing, but what I do mean is intellectually stimulating. I don't know about other cats, but I much enjoy learning and discussing new things when I'm stoned because A) it makes me feel more productive, and B) it's good ol' fun to explore youre own brain when what most you do say is the subconcious shit you normally don't have the guts to say otherwise. Bill Maher is deffinately someone that would drag on a hell of a talk thrown in with some good laughs as well. I am sort of hoping he reads this some day and calls me up and offers me the chance.

Sick Flick: The Union- The Business Behind Getting High

This movie, The Union: The Business Behind Getting High, was very eye opening. I have seen many documentaries about marijuana but this one seems to stick out to me the most. It tells you all about the intricacies of the business behind grow ops, it explains the many reasons why marijuana is still not legal, and it also overviews the several uses of this plant that makes it as Joe Rogan said, "...the most useful plant EVER". A lot of mind blowing information in this documentary and I HIGHly recommend it. This movie makes you ask over and over again why the fuck marijuana is not legal or decriminalized yet. Watch it and allow the reasons reveal to you how this important plant is so taboo despite its many positive uses contrast with its toxic and killer rivals alcohol and tobacco.

Munchie of the Week: Popsicles!

So This past week I have been getting progessively more and more pain in my jaw/wisdom teeth area. The obviously feel good food to me would be popsicles so my mom picked some up for me. These firecracker popsicles were really hitting the spot. The Cherry red, the lemon middle, and last but the best is the blue raspberry bottom layer. The only annoying thing about the blue raspberry being on the bottom is that my right pointer finger is stained blue. But anyways, these delicious treats have 3 great flavors in one, cold for the hot summer, and numbs the wisdom teeth pain. Being both a pain reliever and delicious? Sounds like something else we like to call mary jane doesnt it? so i HIGHly recommend this.

Sick Flick: Planet Earth DVD Series

This flick is sick to watch as you're chillin' at home with nothing to do other than smokin' the good stuff. Don't get me wrong, this series is beautiful no matter if you're smoking or not. BBC and the Discovery Channel got together and worked on this incredible footage for a total of 5 years in the making. When you watch this series, 5 years seems like a short amount of time to get the ridiculous shots that this talented team got. My favorite part about this series is the wild facts you learn along your journey across the world to see all different animal and plant life in the various types of habitats they feature. Deep Ocean is probably my favorite episode to watch. You go miles and miles down to the bottom of the ocean where the life that exists there is hard to imagine. I HIGHly recommend investing in this DVD series. It is deffinately something you will watch with friends and family over and over again.

VH1 names Cheech and Chong "Lords of the Revolution"

Tomorrow night VH1 is featuring an entire episode about Cheech and Chong on their new show "Lords of the Revolution". VH1 made a great yet obvious choice. These two are single handedly responsible for catapulting the cannibis culture into the mainstream at a time when marijuana was taboo. Their films made it possible for the smoker and non smoker alike to find humor in the adventures of these two stony cohorts.

Herb Star: Tangerine Kush

Hello fellow kats! I wanted to highlight this awesome strain of bud. The high on this thing was one of the best I've had in a while. It is best described as a hilarious ride on the sativa train. It is one of those fun highs that takes you to a giggly mood that is much enjoyable. I also had some jaw pain that went away after a few hits off the bong- possibly a medicinal strain for pain relief? It is smaller and dense so don't freak out about the smaller size of the bud. It burns really nicely. Unlike the lighter fluffier kind, this will burn pretty slowly almost like a resine bowl would. Yes...sadly we stonies all know the sad day when we have to resort to smoking a resine bowl!

Mama Kat's Words of Weedsdom

Greetings to all kats this fine Wednesday! I'm going to try and entertain you with some interesting lil morsels from time to time, some from my mellowed mind, and some things I find along my journey that I think could be interesting to some of you kats out there.

Recently, I watched," A/K/A Tommy Chong". This is a documentary featuring Tommy Chong, his wife Shelby, and his adult children. Keep in mind Tommy is not just Chong of "Cheech n Chong" fame, he is now 71 years old and he is a kind and gentle soul. This could happen to anyone of us so if you are passionate about the legalization and decriminalization of marijuana watch or better yet BUY this DVD and then go out and register to vote so you can exercise your rights and help make our precious plant legal.

NAMASTE

At the height of popularity of the Bush
administration -- the federal government entrapped and subsequently imprisoned Tommy Chong. Josh Gilbert began documenting the federal case against his long time friend, for the terrible crime of selling bongs.

This film examines the personal effects on Tommy, the motivations and tactics of the politicized Justice Department under George Bush, set against the back drop of the War on Drugs and the legal issues involved. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival to huge press and critical acclaim, and appeared at many other film festivals. It premiered theatrically at Film Forum in New York City and went on to a successful arthouse theatrical release throughout North America. It was recently broadcast on Showtime and the CBC in Canada. (excerpt taken from akatommychong.com)

So I leave you with these quotes:

"Look what happened to me for a bong"--- Tommy Chong

"That's why people that have an education, you know, that's why they spend time in art museums, or reading good literature or listening to good music. Because it affects the body's chemistry in such a way that it produces a very mellow high that you can never reproduce with any kind of drugs." --- Tommy Chong

I Want to Smoke With: James Franco

I cannot think of a sexier man to blaze with than James Franco. He has always been a celebrity crush of mine but my love grew deeper when I found out he shared my love for sweet mary jane. In Pineapple Express we get a glympse of what it would possibly be like to be high with Franco. Me and all of my girl friends agree wholeheartedly that in this stoner flick he couldn't be more adorable, even in his long greasy hair, paired with a silly excercise headband, and the shark eating a kitten shirt he sported through the whole flick. Check out some of his interviews on youtube. He is almost always baked, and will even go as far as to claim he no longer smokes like he did in his High Times interview at the 8th Stony Awards in Malibu. You shouldn't have to hide it my friend; especially since you are apparently not good at masking your high anyways! High Times magazine crowned him Stoner of the Year in 2008.

Flippin' Sweet

All I can say about this is that I want it! It is so flippin' sweet. It is on sale for $417.90 at www.bongin.com Share with us what pipe you are currently eyeing!

Funny Shit to Watch When You're Baked: Megan Wants a Millionaire

This morning with Mama Kat we did a quick Wake n' Bake sesh, and decided to watch Megan Wants a Millionaire. We shamelessly have quite a taste for trashy tv, such as these love shows featuring on VH1. Megan was introduced to the world of trashy television when she faught for the love of Bret Michaels on his show out to find love in "Rock of Love". She then went onto the show "I Love Money" . Her personality throughout these two shows did not go unnoticed. She was a hot chick with a rockin' body, the IQ of a grape, and a voice that sounds like a whiny 4 year old. She also has made it clear she wants to marry rich and become someones "trophy wife". So, Vh1 got together with her and created her own show that would be the love child of "Rock of Love" and "I Love Money". The pilot episode was full of creepy stalker- potential men such as Donald, the 50 year old sketchy perv, and Al, the 41 year old overly nervous freak. Lots of moments in this show that make you say to your self 'wtf is going on?'. Can't wait to see the freaky embarassing moments to continue.
- Pretty Kat

Jams of the moment: Slightly Stoopid

These are the dudes of Slightly Stoopid. This band describes themselves as "a fusion of acoustic rock and blues with reggae, hip-hop, and punk." They have some of the best jams to date that are very popular to light up to. With songs such as "no cocaine", "Sweet Honey", and "Closer to the Sun" that are some of my personal favorites. They were first signed back in high school by the very well known Bradley Nowell from Sublime. If you don't already listen to them you have got to get yourself acquainted with these chill as hell stoner jammers. Members include Miles Doughty- Guitar, Bass, Vocals, Kyle McDonald - Guitar, Bass, Vocals, Ryan (RyMo) Moran- Drums, Oguer (OG) Ocon- Congas, Percussion, Harp, Vocals, DeLa- Saxophone, and C-Money- Trump, Keyboard. This band is deffinately one of both me and Mama Kat's favorites.
-Pretty Kat

Munchie of the Week: Sonic Drive-Thru

The other Day, Mama Kat and I headed over to Sonic Drive-Thru to quench our kottonmouth thirst. Sonic turned out to be such a bomb place to grab a drink! Our personal favorite is their Ocean Water which is a combination of Sprite and Blue Coconut flavoring. It set our taste buds on a beautiful ride. They also have many other choices so no matter what fruitful combo youre craving, they have it! If you go to Sonic during the week between 2 and 4 pm, you can get drinks and slushes for half off!
Oh and their burgers are also sloppy an
delicious. -Pretty n' Mama Kat
